So who was riding shotgun with Oonosato in the yusho parade?. Takayasu. He
reportedly received the request from  Nishonoseki Oyakata about two days
prior, in anticipation of a potential win; he readily accepted the role,
remarking, "It is an honor." Takayasu is a senior rikishi from the same
Nishonoseki ichimon as Oonosato and has served as the tachimochi
(sword-bearer) during Oonosato's Yokozuna dohyo-iri. On this day, he had
been a candidate for the Outstanding Performance Prize, contingent upon
winning his own bout and Oonosato getting the yusho. Although he missed out
on the prize after losing to Fujiryouga, simply stating, "I lost because
I'm weak", he successfully shifted his mindset to fulfill the role of
flag-bearer.

He also beat Oonosato on day 4 and danced a bit. He is also a longtime
close friend of ex-Kisenosato Nishonoseki Oyakata as they were heyamates
and keiko partners.
