A party celebrating the promotion of Tanji to Juryo was held on the 30th at
a hotel in Tokyo. Attendees included Arashio Oyakata and supporters of his
heya. Wakatakakage (31), who was diagnosed with compartment syndrome and
underwent surgery, missing the entire Nagoya tournament, was also present.
There was a segment where they looked back on his sumo career through
childhood photos, and Tanji, though appearing slightly nervous, celebrated
the milestone with a smile. In his opening remarks, Arashio Oyakata said,
"Your sumo career has only just begun. I want you to always look forward."
