Subject: [Sumo news] - Ex-Hakuhou talks to Ex-Asashouryuu on YouTube
To: Sumo Newsletter2 <sumo-newsletter2 at googlegroups.com>

Yokozuna Hakuhou updated his YouTube channel on the 1st, releasing a video
of a conversation with fellow former Yokozuna Asashouryuu, Dolgorsuren
Dagvadorj. The two legends, who competed fiercely against each other during
their active careers and combined a total of 70 yushos (Hakuhou 45,
Asashouryuu 25), had a conversation. When asked about his most memorable
match against Asashouryuu, Hakuhou recalled, "My first kinboshi. It was in
the November 2004 tournament. I was able to get a kinboshi in our second
match." Asashouryuu then remembered, "Oh yeah, there was one time when I
gave him an extra shove (dame-oshi)!" referring to a match in the summer
2008 tournament, to which Hakuhou responded with a wry smile, "You're going
there..." In that basho, they faced each other in the final match of the
last day, with Asashouryuu defeating Hakuhou with a hikiotoshi, but
Asashouryuu pressed added an additional push to Hakuhou, who already had
both hands on the ground. Hakuhou pushed Asashouryuu back with his right
shoulder, and the two glared at each other on the dohyo. Asashouryuu
revealed, "That wasn't on purpose. It wasn't on purpose, so I was shocked
when he added a move that looked like it was on purpose. The reason why it
was so unpleasant is because there was some messy stuff going on in the
past. It's a trivial matter, but something like that happened. It sounds
strange to say that I was in the wrong as a Yokozuna, but..." Hakuhou
replied with a laugh, "In the end, I was the bad guy." On social media and
in the comments section, there were many reactions, with comments such as,
"It's amazing that he's having a normal conversation with Asashouryuu," and
"I never thought I'd see the day when we'd see the two of them talking with
smiles on their faces."

The talk, In Japanese with English subtitles too, though very small letters:
