In a very unusual move Maegashira 12 Chiyotairyuu ha suddenly retired and
will leave the sumo world altogether. He plans on opening a restaurant. "He
says he cannot generate power the way he wants to (2-5 as of day 7). He
wants to retire so there's no use going on the dohyo..He felt he had
reached his limit," explained Kokonoe Oyakata.
