A potential scandal has been brewing in the tabloids concerning Ichinojou.
It seems that the Kyokai wanted this to remain quiet, but it looks like the
ripples are getting stronger. It appears that  Ichinojou has a drinking
problem and at one point attacked the oyakata's wife a few months ago. Not
much info out there other than drunk, rehab, drunk, missed a kyokai photo
shoot, after the Oyakata reported his errant behavior to the Kyokai in
March, Ichinojou declared he will be talking to the Oyakata through a
lawyer only, missed keiko without permission, left the heya in December to
live alone, etc.. etc..The Kyokai just responded with the "we are looking
into this" boilerplate response. The issues with Ichinojou were reported to
the Kyokai back in March. He is not kyujo at this time, but if this is
true, he's outta here..
Reminder: He just got his Japanese citizenship not long ago and the
understanding was that he would be taking over Minato-beya eventually.
