The special entry rank for college rikishi who made it to the top 8 in
nationwide tournaments which was Sandanme 100 tsukedashi, will now be
Sandanme 90, it was announced today. This will be implemented this coming
basho. The first one to be ranked there will be Nishonoseki (ex-
Kisenosato) beya's new recruit Kayou.

The jungyos  (regional exhibition tournaments) are returning. A jungyo will
be held after Nagoya basho, it was announced today. It will be the first
jungyo since November 2019. No dates or venues announced yet.

For the first time since the Corona outbreak, a full house of spectators
will be allowed. This will happen in Nagoya 2022, it was announced today.
There was a limit of 75% this last basho.

Two new female members have joined the YDC (Yokozuna Deliberation Council)
today. They are the first women since Ms. Uchidate
