Hi!

Really sorry to hear this news Gaijingai, and love and best wishes to
Gaijingal - but from my personal experience, you may not have it.

My wife was getting weekly tests at the care home where she works, and one
came back positive. As soon, as we knew this, I booked tests for myself
and our two boys (aged 3 and 5). I automatically assumed that I would
certainly have it to, as we are a very close couple, but I was hoping that
the boys had avoided contracting it. My wife was constrained to one room,
whilst the 'men' had the rest of the house to ourselves. My results came
back in the evening, and it was negative. The boys were upset about their
mother being kept apart, so they slept with me that night, for
comforting cuddles. The following morning, we got the boys results - and
they were both positive! So, I was the one consigned to the single room,
and my wife (thankfully not too ill - and the boys were both asymptomatic)
looked after the household. As I had been in close contact with the two
positive boys since taking the initial test, I arranged for another test
for myself, and a third one, just to be sure, a few days later. All came
back negative.

So, although it is likely that you may have already caught the virus, it is
probably not 100% certain. I strongly suggest keeping apart from
Gaijingal until you know for sure.

Stay strong!

Jejima
