This document was originally created in ASCII form due to numerous requests for information about beer establishments in the Washington, DC area on the newsgroup alt.beer. After it was finished, the DC-Beer administrator, Dan Brown, asked about placing it on his Web site. Before doing so, many additions and edits were made by various members of that group. The file has grown to the point that it is kind of difficult to maintain as an ASCII file and yet I felt there were many useful pieces of information that were missing.So, I started the process of converting it to HTML, and, along the way, updating it to include more information that visitors to the area might find useful when trying to find a comfortable drinking establishment.
