Ross Mihara: Here's Riyo Ohta with a hanamichi report. This one's with Gaijingai.

Riyo: Gaijingai, is it true what I hear? You're going kuyjo in all the daily games next basho?

Gaijingai: Hai, so desu.

Riyo: Why is that?

Gaijingai: Because I'm going to the real basho. I'm going to be in Tokyo May 7-22.

Riyo: What will you be doing?

Gaijingai: Besides going to the basho, I presume I'll see all my old friends...Ross, Doreen, Lynn. If anyone is going to be in Tokyo for the basho, please let me know and we'll plan a big get-together, like we did in Vegas 4 years ago..

Riyo: So you're going all the way to Tokyo to take in a basho?

Gaijingai: Actually, I'm going there to work on an Internet Protocol TV project, but the timing was *mine*!

Riyo: Speaking of sumo, I must congratulate you. You won the Ying Yang sumo game plus sanshos in Roto Sumo and the Maegashira Game. To what do you owe your success?

Gaijingai: Pure luck! I had a hard time seeing anything with my poor eyesight this basho.

Riyo: Yes, I notice that you have two black eyes. Whatever happened to you?

Gaijingai: Well, just at the start of the basho, my wife Gaijingal was looking at herself in the mirror. She said to me, "You know, dear, I look in the mirror and I see an woman. My face is all wrinkled, my hair is gray, my shoulders are hunched over, I've got fat legs, and my arms are all flabby. Tell me something positive to make me feel better about myself." So I responded, "Well, there's nothing wrong with your eyesight!" POW! POW!

Riyo: Back to you, Ross!

Best regards,
Jeffrey Anderson
