[sumo] Minaminoshima out of sumo?

Well, this is very sad news indeed. I know all things must come to an end, but I am sorry to see him go. If any one was able to find out what pushed his decision, please let us know.
I first met Minaminoshima on my first visit to Musashigawabeya in December of 2003. He was so gracious after keiko to be the translator for our group, allowing us to ask questions, and getting Buyuzan and Bushiyama to come out for pictures and autographs. I was able to see and talk to him on three other occasions at either the Kokugikan or the heya, and he was always polite and friendly.
I hope that he does well in whatever else he persues.
