The problem is that many of the replies are automatically attached by mail
programs without noticing it. I realize that it may be a hassle for those
who get the daily digest, but what you're requesting is a hassle for 90% of
the contributors. There may be some method of fixing that, I don't know, but
it's much easier to get a fix that doesn't require every members'
participation.
