In addition to the rikishi comments provided earlier Moti (Kintamayama) also
provided the following info concerning the "civilian" riji and kanji
demanded by the Education Ministry earlier.

 

The Kyokai will be adding an outside riji and kanji by the end of the month.
Former chairman Kitanoumi offered the job to current YDC chairman Mr.
Ebisawa, but new rijicho Musashigawa seems to have other plans. "We have to
think this out seriously. There are many good candidates out there. In any
case, we will  decide by the end of September, as demanded by the Education
Ministry!", he said today.
