Wakanoho sues sumo association over dismissal

TOKYO - 
Disgraced former top-division wrestler Wakanoho from Russia filed a lawsuit Thursday against the Japan Sumo Association, seeking to nullify his dismissal by the association for allegedly possessing marijuana. In the suit filed with the Tokyo District Court, the former wrestler said his penalty is too severe compared to previous cases and that his dismissal is invalid.

He also filed for an injunction against possible deportation as his stay in Japan was permitted only as a sumo wrestler. ''I made a mistake but I want to continue to be a sumo wrestler. I will have a trial and try to go back to the sumo world,'' he told a news conference.

I never heard anything about Wakanoho suing before this.  I thought the brothers were the ones yelling lawsuit.
