At Musashigawa Beya:

Musashigawa assembled all his heya people (rikishi, oyakata, sewanin,
tokoyama) for a talk after yesterday's keiko. "Now that I've become Rijicho,
all eyes will be on this heya. I want each and every one of you to be aware
and careful, more than before", he said. Bushuuyama who won last basho's
Juryo yusho : "As rikishi of the rijicho's heya, we have to set an example
for others". Musashigawa leads the heya keiko sessions every day. "It's
going to be difficult sometimes for me to be here , so I have appointed
Fujishima Oyakata (ex-Buyuuuuuzan) as my stand-in when I'm not ", he added.

 

 

With Asashoryu:

Asashouryuu went down to Sakaigawa beya again. He had only 10 bouts and was
seen being pushed around a bit, looking to be a bit late in his readiness.
"The elbow is better than before, but I'm not fully recovered yet", he said.
Asked about his feelings: "I feel the same as everyone. The basho will soon
be starting and I'll be moving on..", he said. He was asked what he thinks
of the new rijicho. "No comment. He has many problems to tackle and I am not
in a position to say anything". In the past , he said "I'm not going for
degeiko to that heya - the shisho is really strict.."

Some other remarks: After his keiko at Sakaigawa Beya - "Goueidou and
Toyohibiki have gotten stronger. Either that, or I'm just plain rusty..". He
even joked. "Lately, I went to a medical check up. I was not found positive
(for drug use). I'm 99.999% OK.."

 

 

With the Russian brothers:

The brothers have decided to sue the Prevention Committee for libel,
infringement of privacy and unjust dismissal. "I can't understand why we had
to quit over this! I will definitely sue them for this, while consulting
Rohou ", said Hakurozan. "We will not be suing the Kyokai, only the
Prevention committee", said Rohou. "Suing the PC is just like suing the
Kyokai", countered Isenoumi.
"I'm gonna cut off my mage (sumo hair-do)!!", shouted Hakurozan after the
decision. "Don't be rash!!", countered Kitanoumi. He cooled down. The other
rikishi and Kitanoumi threw a farewell chanko dinner at the heya in his
honor, with Kitanoumi recognizing his achievements. He will still be going
in and out of the heya as he still has stuff to move out from there.
Hakurozan left the heya, with Kitanoumi wishing him luck in his "second
life". 



A stark contrast to Rohou who was immediately removed from his heya without
a parting anything. Rohou left the heya, but Ootake was not there. "He has
been dismissed so he belongs neither to the Kyokai nor the heya
anymore-therefore I cannot say anything", said Ootake, when asked. 
OTOH, Rohou went to apologize to the man who brought him into the heya,
ex-Taihou. "I'm sorry that I caused you this bother", he said, head hanging.
"It's really too bad. You never took the world of Sumo seriously enough. But
don't curse the Kyokai-that's no good. When you go back to Russia, you
should take this experience with you and learn from it. You are always
welcome to come and visit! ", he said. Other heya people tried to persuade
him not to take any actions against the Kyokai, but he wasn't listening.
