[sumo] Kitanoumi to resign over scandal?

Rumors have been rampant these last couple of hours that Kitanoumi intends
to resign. Word is leaking from his besieged heya that he has decided to
quit. No confirmation at this time, but if it happens, it should happen
tomorrow at the rijikai. The main thing stopping him from resigning so far,
as he explains it, is that if he resigns, he will be admitting Hakurozan's
guilt. "How can I wipe out one person's achievements in life just by relying
on a urine test??", he is asking. If the second tests come out positive as
well, Ootake Oyakata will also be in a tight spot. He has also moved from
defense to attack, and had an angry press conference yesterday blaming
everyone for everything and has hired a lawyer, saying he is ready to go to
court if necessary to prove his deshi's innocence.
