I have watched the Ama-Toyonoshima bout repeatedly, in extremely slow
motion.  (Okay, other people prefer to watch "Lost.")

Did anyone else think that Toyonoshima was out first?  Not even mentioned on
the broadcast.  And of course no mono-ii.  It's not as though Ama was the
sole 'dead man.'  They were both on their way out.  If not a reversal, I
would at least have done it over.  Maybe, at that late stage of the basho,
no one cared.  And, it did secure a special prize for Toyonoshima.  But, the
difference between 9 wins and 10 for Ama is important if he's going to have
any hope of ozeki promotion.
