We aren't the only ones who thought it was out of line, apparently. This
article shows they were "spoken to"...

Asashoryu, Hakuho escape with warnings

The Yomiuri Shimbun

Yokozuna Asashoryu and Hakuho will be strictly warned by the Japan Sumo
Association for their stare down on the final day of the Summer Grand
Tournament this past weekend.

The Yokozuna Deliberation Council on Monday described the actions of the
grand champions following their bout Sunday as ones of "poor taste, and
embarrassing," asking JSA chairman Kitanoumi to warn the two Mongolians.

Kitanoumi complied, saying, "They behaved in a way that puts into
question the class of yokozuna and their expected code of conduct."

After Asashoryu slammed Hakuho to the floor for victory, he proceeded to
push his opponent and threw in a quick slap to the face afterward.
Hakuho retaliated with a shoulder to Asashoryu's chest before the
exchange of glares began.
