One thing that happened when Osh secured the yusho was that Hakuhos and 
Asashoryus streak of consecutive yusho was broken. As far as I could 
find, their 13 straight titles is the longest by any two rikishi in 
modern days. Can anyone confirm this? A streak that's continuing is 
that of consecutive yusho by foreign-born rikishi. Tochiazuma's yusho 
in January 2006 is the latest yusho by a Japanese rikishi, so it's 14 
straight to the gaikokujin, naturally a record.
