I was one of the letter-writers that wrote to request that the  
telecast time be extended from 90 minutes to two hours, and indeed  
that was a successful effort.  But those requests were in regard to  
TV Japan's coverage, and sent to TV Japan, not to NHK.  That said,  
Peter may have a good idea.  It's possible that NHK doesn't realize  
the passion that the English-language followers of sumo have.  I  
still have doubts that there are actually that many of us, but Peter  
is right in that it's certainly worth the effort.  Thanks for the  
kick in the pants!
