When issues stopped arriving, she slowly pulled away from him,  citing the promise he had made to provide her with an English language sumo magazine.  He was notorious for compulsively reading the multitude of Japanese language sumo magazines.  He became a hoarder of sumo magazines.  It became more and more difficult to navigate his spacious apartment through the rows and piles of sumo magazines, none of which could be read by his mistress.   She aimlessly thumbed through the old, dated and poorly edited "Sumo World" issues while he passionately read his current Japanese language magazines, ignoring her while she pined for English language publications (for which he had paid).
