The probable results of the Kyokai election of jichyo's and the Rijicho look
pretty much decided.  Looks like Kitanoumi has survived the scandals, so
far.

Japan Sumo Association big wigs chosen without election

Director and managerial positions for the Japan Sumo Association were
decided without a vote on Thursday, the deadline for acceptance of
candidates, as the number of candidates equaled the number of positions.

The election of the 10 directors and three auditors is held every two years.

On Friday, an election for the head of the board of directors is due to be
held through mutual voting, but there were no moves to back any opposing
candidate against the current chairman Kitanoumi, meaning that his fourth
term as chairman has been confirmed.
