We've come to the end of a rather exciting basho with Hakuho winning the
real Yusho. Who won the RotoSumo Yusho(s)? Let's find out shall we?
***Onzoushi-Oyakata sent me an entry via e-mail, but I couldn't accept it.
He/she had selected Hakuho for the Ozeki slot, which invalidated the entry.
It also arrived after the entry deadline. So I've decided to give
Onzoushi-san Kosho status. Hopefully he will decide to come back next
basho***

MAKUUCHI:
YUSHO: Dimitri (M5W) (1st)
Shukon-Sho: Frinkanohana (M4W) (1st)
Gino-Sho: Norizo (K1e) (2nd)
Kanto-Sho: Dimitri (M5W) (2nd)
Dimitri has been on one heck of a hot streak lately. In addition to winning
the Juryo Yusho back in September, he won the Makuuchi Kanto-Sho last basho
and has now added the top division Yusho and Kanto-Sho this basho. His 1511
points were also the best score of any player in any division this basho.
This begs the question: How long can he keep up this level of performance?
Ryumaru takes the Jun-Yusho, while Ozeki Doitsuyama escaped Kadoban status
with a fine 10-5 performance. Our other two Ozeki, Heruwejima and
Akemisamaru went MK and will be kadoban next basho. Ulsimitsuki failed to
get the ten wins needed to achieve immediate re-promotion to Ozeki and will
now have to do it the hard way. Metzinowaka had his promotion bid spoiled by
an MK, while Golynohana fell 4 wins short of the 12 he needed for Ozeki
promotion.
Frinkanohana captured the shukon-sho, while Norizo won the gino-sho after
Anjoboshi failed to achieve KK.

JURYO:
YUSHO: Kitanoyama (J9W) (1st)
Shukon-Sho: Bunijiman (J14E) (1st)
Gino-Sho: Kabakyodai (J9E) (1st)
Kanto-Sho: Kitanoyama (J9W) (1st)
Kitanoyama captured the Juryo Yusho, edging Bunijiman by only 12 points. The
J9w also takes the Kanto-Sho.
Bunijiman can be consoled with the Shukon-Sho award. Kabakyodai took the
Gino-Sho after Seki Haruaki failed to achieve KK.
There are only two obvious openings in Makuuchi this basho, so things could
be tight around the J1 rank went it comes to making the new banzuke.
Susamajiiraion and Annai are the two leading candidates to go up and replace
anyone who drops from the top division.

MAKUSHITA:
YUSHO: Gorgoro (ms23E) (1st)
Shukon-Sho: Gorgoro (ms23E) (1st)
Gino-Sho: Rantan (ms1W) (1st) (set new RotoSumo record with 161 points on
Day 6)
Kanto-Sho: Gorgoro (ms23E) (1st)
Gorgoro took the Makushita crown in impressive fashion, finishing 17 points
ahead of second place Kaiowaka and taking two of the three available special
prizes.
Rantan captured the Gino-Sho, setting a new RotoSumo record for most points
scored in a single day, putting up 161 on Day 6. So congrats to the ms1W for
that remarkable achievement.
There aren't a lot of openings in Juryo, but a whole lot of promotion
candidates. Which means making this portion of the banzuke is going to be a
whole lot of fun.
