When asked why he was identified by the NSK even though he is a
minor, Kitanoumi Rijicho said that even though he was a minor, he is
an accredited sekitori, etc., and so has to face this seriously,
considering his position...etc. etc. This seems to suggest that they
want him out of the country and out of sight and sound of the media
and the public as soon as possible; and so all the normal laws and
procedures that might otherwise apply are pushed aside. I'm guessing
no prision time because of the ongoing adverse publicity it would
generate for the NSK. It's probably all been worked out...a quick
revocation of his visa and a plane ticket back to Russia. A very sad
ending to a promising career.
