That's what I saw, too.  Asashoryu  chose the lower rankers, though 
needless to say they were good ones. Hakuho had arrived early and  did 
his warmups steadily for close to an hour.

Got my favourite seat by the hanamichi, so I could see people coming 
and going and talk with them briefly if the opportunity presented 
itself. Kitazakura was working the crowd on wither side as he came in, 
so I told him I was looking forward to seeing his bead work on display 
again this coming weekend -- and got a big smile and a "You be there!" 
sort of reply.

This Saturday and Sunday, 11:00-16:00, there will be a big festival in 
Ryogoku in several venues including the Kokugikan entrance hall, and on 
Sunday they will probably close off the main street like they did last 
year for demonstrations of sumo exercises and yobidashi drumming. 
Chanko will be served in 500 yen bowls.  No time to go into further 
details -- I'm not on  vacation till Saturday!
