SUMO FAN MAGAZINE -
Here's an introduction to the April issue, now online at
www.sumofanmag.com:
As ever, a large large range of articles in English, French, German
and Spanish for your reading pleasure, including:
a couple of very interesting features on the NHK/NSK/NHK relationship
down the years, and the oldest living (former) yokozuna of the
present day Wakanohana II (oftentimes called I by most).
In addition, we have yet another sekitori (former ozeki this one)
interview and look like adding more in the coming issues thanks to
the improved linguistic options a new staffer brings to SFM, and the
most thorough wrap up - in text and image form of the Haru Basho you
will see anywhere online thanks to LH and CT.
Oh, and just to whet your appetite for the Natsu event around the
corner... take a look at AH's views on who to keep an eye on come the
second Sunday in May.
Amasumo fans meanwhile can enjoy the second half of the interview
with THE MAN Manny Y - courtesy our own HG - SFer and probably the
most informed individual out there on things amateur, and we would
never be fully complete without our usual delve into what made fans -
of the fans. This time out we feature a Japanese woman from south
Japan herself a one time sumo winner, and a 92-year-old man who
recalls seeing a long dead yokozuna coming to his town.
Much much more as ever - the above being just the tip of the SFM
multi-lingual iceberg.
Enjoy, and let us know what you think by way of the mail links on the
page.
