In reading his memorial, I discovered that he is a kindred spirit.  This 
quote sums up my feelings having been born near Philly as well:.

"I've had little trouble choosing my favorite. I always root for 
Americans over competitors from other countries, Philadelphians over 
Pittsburghers, ospreys over lesser avian species and anybody over New 
Yorkers."

I will miss him as well.
