You sure have dated yourself. But I can go further back. Tachi
closed down a very long time ago. But as a member of the USAF, I
entered and departed Japan thru Tachikawa Air Base in the 60's. We
used to watch Taiho on TV. The closest I've been able to get to Taiho
was to visit his Museum in Hokkaido in 1999.
Watch out for me in L.A. I'll be the old, bald guy in the really
cheap seats :-)
