I heard the story about Wakanoyama breaking someone's arm and had to find out the story for myself. Here is what I learned. This case is quite different from the Tokitsukaze situation, where apparently senior rikishi beat a younger rikishi to death. I have visited Mushashigawa beya several times and it is a very peaceful place. The individual whose arm was broken was a retired wrestler by the name of Koshinoyama. He was thought to have stolen money from the beya and was known as an excessive bully to the younger rikishi. He apparently hit a young wrestler with a beer bottle, injuring him to the point of a hospital stay. This is what angered Wakanoyama to the point of punishing Koshinoyama. While some might disagree, I think Wakanoyama did a honorable and just thing standing up for the young rikishi and punishing the bully. Let's just hope the Japanese legal system feels the same way.
