Two men, including a senior member of a group affiliated with 
Sumiyoshi-kai crime syndicate, were arrested on suspicion of crashing an 
unmanned truck into a garage belonging to the Oshima sumo stable in 
Sumida Ward, Tokyo, last year, the Metropolitan Police Department 
announced Tuesday.

The MPD has obtained an arrest warrant against another suspect involved 
in the incident and is presently trying to discern his whereabouts. The 
incident is thought to be related to komusubi-ranked sumo wrestler 
Kyokushuzan, a Mongolian whose real name is Davaa Batbayar, in 
connection with the exploitation rights for a gold mine in Mongolia.

Kyokushuzan retired from sumo last year following a series of incidents. 
At the time of the truck crash, Kyokushuzan was a member of the Oshima 
stable.
