It's even worse with other shikona, especially "Kotooushuu".  Americans 
are driven batty by the 3 vowels in a row thing, but strictly speaking 
it is a more accurate way to romanize a compound kanji. I don't think 
that there will be much hope for English writers complying with any kind 
of consistent standard.
