Hamakaze Oyakata, ex-Gojoorou, has moved from Magaki beya to Sadogatake
-beya. He has been with Magaki ever since joining Sumo in 1989, but
"personal circumstances" have caused him to move to Sadogatake beya.
"I'd be happy if I could help Sadogatake Oyakata a bit and earnestly be
able to show leadership at keiko..", he said.

A severe drop in kensho numbers-100 less than last basho will be felt
in Kyushu. Sponsors are definitely being turned off with all the
scandals and it is showing in the number of sponsored banners in
Kyushu. So far, around 700 kensho have been bought, which are roughly
the numbers from two years ago. Last basho saw two big Asashouryuu
sponsors walk away, and this basho the Tokitsukaze beya sponsors are
doing the same. Some companies are not withdrawing altogether, but have
cut down on the numbers. "Yes, we've been asked by some of our clients
why the heck we are sponsoring the Sumo Kyokai..", admitted one company
executive. 
Some companies are adopting the famous "we shall see"
policy.
