[Sumo] [Semi-Off Topic] Popularity of Sumo Declining?

I've been indulging in the most recent Zelda video game, and there's a part
where you have to compete in a sumo competition with a giant boulder-person.
When speaking to the boulder-people, they say that young people just don't
appreciate sumo like they used to, and that's a pity.

I thought it was pretty interesting that they'd put that in a game
(presumably) directed at children who are probably not watching sumo. Did
they bribe the producers of the game do you think?
