Which means the Sumo Champ has now risen back up to Yokozuna level, from
whence is started (just not the same Yokozuna).
Thanks for the update, Joe.

Subject: Re: [sumo] [GAMES] Sumo Champ Report
My apologies to Emmett and the others for the lack of Sumo Champ
updates this basho. Let's review the May Basho results in digest
format.
We started off the basho with Aminishiki as the defending champ from
Haru Basho. Last basho saw the title drop down near the bottom of
Makunouchi, but with Aminishiki's strong record last basho he moved up
to M4E, bringing the title back in range of the top ranked rikishi.
Aminishiki reigned until Day 3, when he was defeated by the lead
sekiwake Kotomitsuki. Kotomitsuki held the title for two days until
being upset by the M1W Tokitenku on Day 5. Tokitenku himself held the
title for two days...until running into the ozeki buzzsaw named
Hakuho.
And of course, Hakuho has held the title ever since, and is your
reigning Sumo Champ heading into the Nagoya Basho in July.
