Just a few days remain to the start of the basho, so I'd like to remind you that the always energetic Seki-Toto and the recently revitalized Seki-Oracle and Seki-Quadrumvirate are open for entry. :)

The updated banzuke for Seki-Toto has been sent to Zenjimoto and will be available for perusal at http://www.anasuya.com/toto/banzuke.html as soon as it is uploaded - Haru Yusho winner Norizo will be on the quest for the first Toto tsuna, and word out of the Toto Kyokai is that it will take another "excellent" record to secure promotion. Doesn't get much more specific than that, does it? ;) Banzuke-making in the sekitori divisions was relatively easy this time and kachi-koshi players can enjoy well-sized promotions for the first time in quite a while.

About Oracle and S4 - due to relatively short notice and a bit of a lack of publicizing, a large number of players were missing in action when the games returned from their half-year hiatus last basho. As it's difficult to tell who has stopped playing sumo games in the meantime and who simply didn't know about the games' return, it was pretty much impossible to create banzukes for the two games that would not disadvantage any players.
Therefore, it has been decided to *delay* the creation of the May banzuke until the basho has started, with the following rationale: All players who take part in Natsu basho will retroactively receive KOSHO status for March and not lose their rank, as it's assumed they did not mean to miss the last basho. Players who did not play in March and also do not play in May will be assumed to be retired from the two games and receive 0-0-15 records for BOTH basho, so as to get the banzuke cleaned of the "dead wood" and get back on track as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT NOTE! If you missed the games in March and you are forced to sit out May as well, BUT you still want to keep playing them afterwards, please apply for KOSHO for the upcoming basho. Either register for the games at http://www.sumogames.info/Golynohana/Default.aspx and select the kosho option, or send me an email, so I can credit you with kosho status for one of the two absences and you don't get treated as a retired player. I will accept such kosho requests until the end of Natsu basho, and both the Natsu and Nagoya banzuke will be drawn up afterwards.
If you played in March and you need to miss the upcoming basho, you will receive kosho as usual and don't need to do anything (though it will still be nice for administrative purposes if you register and select kosho at Golynohana's site).
Thanks for reading, and enjoy the Seki-Games. :)
