[sumo] FW: Tide Turns in Ramadi [off-topic]/MY RANT!

Oh, then you missed this:

Watching TV here in Tokyo last night with a couple of friends and a show
with that Hosoki somebody who purports to be a sort of fortune teller. Now,
I’m very poor at Japanese, but my friend , who is also not Japanese, but has
a good command of the language. She translated Hosoki as saying that
Chiyotaikai, the special guest (hmmm, what happened to Asashoryu, I wonder)
would be yokozuna within one, one-and-a-half years.
Now, I love Chiyotaikai, but I wonder what Hosoki knows. Here’s what I know:
1) Asashoryu is not in the greatest form – his elbow hurts and his shoulders
have also been bothering him, and 2) Hakuho’s wife is due to have their baby
any day this month. So, would either of those distractions permit/cause
Chiyotaikai to win after all these years?
Very interesting.

Salutations,

Hey, someone told me there's a basho coming up in 4 days. Is that
true? I haven't seen anything lately about it on this listserve. :-)

Best regards,
