NHK's story says Tochiazuma plans to stay in the Kyokai as an oyakata, but no specifics on an oyakata name, or whether his father will pass on Tamanoi beya to Tochi right away. However, since dad turns 63 this September and will thus reach the mandatory retirement age of 65 in 2009, Tochi doesn't have too long of a wait. I reckon he'll be a coach/recruiter at the heya for the time being.
