Go Chiyo! (But not the yusho:-) )

I wonder why the hives would prevent him from doing degeiko - other than
they itch. He must have some allergy?

Subject: [sumo] [spoiler] Toyonoshima, Chiyotaikai

Toyonoshima is changing the color of his mawashi from black to blue.
"Reminds me of my ocean-front home town-the color of the sea, see?" he said.
Yesterday he had 20 bouts and managed to injure his right shoulder. "I'll
try to make it better by tomorrow".
Other article said it's his neck and he injured it at tachi-ai against
Houmashou in training, which sounds a tad more serious. "I felt electricity
rushing through", he said, another one of those sumo cliche utterances. At
least he didn't say he had "good keiko"..

Ozeki Chiyotaikai needs a KK this basho to break one of the longstanding
records - number of bashos as Ozeki, held by the deceased ex-Takanohana I.
Right now, he has 49. A KK will assure him at least 2 more, so the record of
50 will be surpassed. "I did pretty well, I think.. I've been conscious of
this for the past year. Any way you look at it, this is an important
record", he said. He has the hives, so he's at the home beya.
"I'm in good shape. Tomorrow I'd like to go to Sadogatake", he said.
