KaioU will be taking part in his 20th Osaka basho. Today, he went for
degeiko at Sadogatake where he met up with Asa , Taikai, Osh and both
Sekiwakes and had 14 bouts. He showed his Fukuoka counterpart
Kotoshougiku the difference between them beating him in 3 bouts. He
yorikiried Osh powerfully in seconds. "It's only keiko. I'm just
beginning.. ", he said. Last year in Osaka he was 5-7 and the intai
rumors were rampant, but he managed to save himself. A year later, his
lumbago notwithstanding, he's still on the dohyo. "I don't feel that I
should give up just because of my chronic ailment. The question is how
much keiko I can do. I feel I still have a lot of gambarizing left to
do!!", he added.

Asashouryuu returned to Sadogatake today, and boy was it crowded..
Chiyotaikai, KaioU, Kotooushuu, both sekiwake - 16 bouts in all. "The
Ozekis gathered, it was good keiko!", he said. In the middle of the
session it looked as if he got a '"stiff neck" and was yorikiried three
straight times by Osh. "Hey, it's a keiko-ba - we're there to make each
other better. Nothing to do with win-loss records", he explained.

Maegashira 4 Futenou is tres genki (healthy). He had a vigorous session
today at home with Hakuhou, Kokkai and others. He was seen doing strong
forward- moving sumo. After yorikiriing Asashouryuu yesterday, he
continued the momentum today. "The fatigue is starting to pile up, but
I'm in good shape. If I can enter shonichi like this..", he said,
smiling. The former Komusubi 26 year old beat three Ozeki two bashos ago
and has become a strong joi-jin fixture. "I'd like to beat the big guys
again...", he said.
