my fingers crossed for Kihonoumi.Hi all, I didn't have a ticket for today, got to the Aiichi Prefectural gym at 7:30 this morning, and there was already a Kyokai employee
at the end of the line holding up a large notice saying 'The line ends here'.
I asked him to make sure (because in Tokyo there is a guard standing at the end of the line whose job is simply to show
people where to join the queue -- but this one said the people already in the queue were equal to the number of unreserved
tickets they would be selling (at the advertised time of 8:20).
I had already decided not to try any heroic measures like going at crack of dawn -- after all it's 30 years since I first came to the
Nagoya basho and I've seen an awful lot of sumo (including yesterday when I watched all day and said Hello to a lot of friends and acquaintances.
So I am now preparing to get on with Plan B.

to the train stations, and where sumo can be watched in air-conditioned comfort in my hotel, until it's time to go off to a stable party -- just keeping
