I think if you had a site with only 2 people on it the time would come when they have at it.
I used to get really PO'D when taking a different view as to what was being discussed. I have just tried to plod ahead on to the next post. It helps quite a bit. It doesn't always work and some spark starts to grow, but not like it used to.

The problem with our list lately is not just the presence of trolls and the
irresistible urge to respond to them.  Many of the problems stemmed from
regular contributors whose personalities and perspectives clash with one
another.  That kind of thing really can't be helped in a group this size.

It might be interesting to consider whether or not sumo fans are difficult
to get along with.  Or not.
