Yes, Senshuyama will have his danpatsu-shiki in Osaka in March at the heya's
senshuraku party. He should clean up - net of the oyakata's take -  since
the Osaka party is a really huge one. The last one I went to 2 years ago, I
could hardly find the yokozuna in the crowd before he had to head off to TV
interviews.

Also, Kumago, Jd21E retired yesterday, as well. He had his ceremony at the
party last night and was very, very emotional. His brother, ex-Kumanosato,
retired from the same heya lain September 2005.

Another of my personal favorites, the wonderful Hanada from Naruto-beya,
retired, too. Hanada was extremely well-liked in the community and was a
favorite of the oyakata and the okamisan (as much as they could have
favorites). A foremost sumo artist, Misya, who had been following him since
his dohyo debut, has a website devoted to Hanada. It is here:

Ex-Juryo Senshuuyama (31) from Takasago beya has announced his
retirement today. He joined sumo in May 1992. He was small, but was a
good oshi-man. He made Juryo in May 2000 and had 26 bashos there, and
his highest rank was Juryo lead. This basho west 27) and lately he was
in Makushita, and was kyujo.
