Takekaze broke Tamakasuga's win streak, so no sekitori is without a loss
on Nakabi. Asashoryu won against Kisenosato with yorikiri this time, and
not only is back into a shared lead with Tamakasuga and Tamanoshima, but
also widened the gap to Kaio, Kotooshu and Kotomitsuki as those lost.
Chiyotaikai now is the sole sanyaku at two losses, along with
Takamisakari and Toyonoshima.

Roho is the sole rikishi with only one win, as Tochinohana, Aminishiki
(against Tochiazuma) and Miyabiyama won to get the second win. Asofuji
lost to stay at two wins and getting closer to demotion.

Kobo stays in the sole juryo yusho lead with a win against Oga, using
the rare kotehineri kimarite. The field of pursuers was cut in half as
Tochiozan and shin-sekitori Toyohibiki won while Ryuo and Tochisakae
lost. The other three shin-sekitori aren't doing that well with all
three losing today and having more losses than wins so far. Takamifuji
visited from makushita but lost against Daimanazuru to blow the
makushita yusho chances and a possible lock for juryo promotion.
