The yokozuna won against Kotoshogiku for his 18th consecutive win, but
only the oldest of the five ozeki won today with Kaio beating
Kisenosato. Roho got his second win in seven tries against a rehabbing
Tochiazuma, Miyabiyama beat Chiyotaikai in a rather even rivalry (17-19
now), Tokitenku got a watashikomi win against Kotooshu and Dejima beat
Hakuho who was considered a serious yusho conetender this basho.

While only two sanyaku are 2-0 now, there are nine maegashira joining
the early lead, among them Baruto and Ama from the joi-jin ranks.
Iwakiyama is 1-1 with a win over Kakizoe, extending the personal lead to
13-0.

Again only one of the four shin-sekitori won today, this time it was
Koryu as Wakanoho and Hakuba are 0-2 now. Goeido and Tochiozan are among
the undefeated rikishi as is Hokutoriki. Wakanosato is 1-1 with a win
against Shimotori.
