A hearty thanks to all of you that responded to my query about renting a
cell phone in Japan. I did some research on my own before posting, and found
Rannohana's Rentafone Japan and the airport rental option mentioned by
Leonishiki to be the leading contenders. I'm having a hard time deciding
between the two.
FYI, the best deal I found was from a company called G-Call, but upon
reading the fine print I found that they want your passport info as well as
the standard agreement to bill your credit card for the cost of the phone if
you lose or destroy it. No thanks!
