I wonder why you think it might exist in the lower ranks, where nobody
competes for money, and they receive a pittance anyway. Logic suggests that
it happens far higher up (if at all) where the matches have greater
financial consequences.

But I am sure it does not include the Yokouna, the ozeki, and on down.  
If there is Yaocho it may exist in the lower ranks, but it doesn't 
matter because the wheat is quickly separated from the chafe.I have 
complete faith and trust in the upper level rikishi.   Asashoryu is,  
on the cheating scale,  above repoach.   I feel the same about all of 
the Makushita and Juryo.  Anyone who disagrees is invited to a vigorous 
Indian Arm Restling in Manhattan.  Just call me.
