Asashouryuu won the one day tournament for the second straight time, and 
for the third overall time, netting the 2,500,000 yen purse. He beat 
Tochiazuma by tsuridashi in the semis and beat his do-beya Asasekiryuu 
by yorikiri in the finals. Hakuhou was beaten in the semis by 
Asasekiryuu, Chiyotaikai went out in the third round, and KaioU and Osh 
both were eliminated in the second room, which was actually their first 
match.
In Juryo, Oga won the tournament, completing a total sweep by the 
Takasago boys.
In an interview later, Asa said: "I have forgotten all the unpleasant 
stuff..". Asasekiryuu: "I don't care if he's my senpai in the heya. On 
the dohyo, I'm a devil".
All Makushita and under from Takasago will be going on a trip to 
Thailand tomorrow. "Great way to spend the prize money. I'll just give 
them some expense money!", said the Yokozuna.
