As I understand (and recall) it, he supposedly injured his elbow in 
his match the day before (vs Hakuho?). A few people on the forum said 
they saw it, or at least signs that something happened immediately 
after.  But mainly there was been confusion - again, on the forum - 
for the most part people couldn't believe he didn't at least give it 
a try. And, of course, conspiracy theories went crazy - it was all 
tied into "letting" Kaio get his KK.
