This morning I saw the previous Tatsunami oyakata coming out of the building which in his day housed the heya.
Very old and bent. The small building round the corner, which until recently was his ex-son-in-law's heya,
has been emptied out and is being used to garage a couple of business vehicles. So now the only sign of sumo in the
neighbourhood is the dohyo marked in tiles on the ground of a little open 'park' space opposite -- marking the
keikoba of a previous heya that was on that site. (Tokitsukaze, I believe, but I could be wrong.I have an old picture of Oshio
exercising there when the heya was still on that site.)
PS Yesterday mid-morning when I was on my way to work I got on a Marunouchi-line train at Tokyo, and was surrounded by the smell
of a rikishi's hair oil. Following my nose, I found Takanowaka trying to look unobtrusive in a corner. He got off at Ginza.
