Fred was caught on a speed camera doing 10 mph over the speed limit -
He was even smiling in the photo as he was rushing to the hospital
where his wife had just given birth.

Meanwhile evidence was coming to light that Bob may have been involved
in pillaging a small coastal village.  There was no hard evidence as
yet, except that Bob's ship had been seen in the waters near the
village at the time of pillaging, and that he fitted the description
given by some of the pillaged villagers.

The magistrates decided to issue Fred a fine (and a 6 month ban from
driving)  on the basis of the speed ticket photo, and to call Bob in
for questioning.  (They even empounded Bob's ship!)

Everyone agreed that this was the best use of police time and
resources, except for some who suggested that these apples looked the
same.
