Most of the rikishi or yokozuna that come to mind (Chiyonofuji is a good
example)
missed several basho for physical reasons. 
I don't think it's his physical ability that's in question, but his
mind.
After winning so many yushos, I thought that his mental strength would 
have able him to overcome this present situation.
Right now, it looks to me that he is in a downward spiral and headed for the
ground.

Again, I hope to be proven wrong, as I enjoyed most of his sumo.
